2002 f450 park lamp relay

lost all parking lamps., found all electrical schematics show direct connection
between brown tailamp feed and lights, yet have a parklamp relay under dash.
can anyone shed light on this system and why the schematics from ford
seem to avoid it? have no power to trailer lamp relay and have confirmed lamp circuit ok by applying power directly., ford shows brown lead to relay and lamps and have found other. cab marker lamps work and so does interior
and dash. thanks bnelectron

Re: 2002 f450 park lamp relay

FIGURED IT OUT. THERE IS A VSM MODULE AND RELAY (INSIDE FUSE BOX, NOT ACCESIBLE, NOT SERVICEABLE $288.00 FOR ENTIRE FUSE PANEL ASSY), IT CONTROLS THE OUTPUT TO MARKER AND TRAILER LAMPS. IF YOUR THINKING OF ADDING LIGHTS, OR A TRAILER PLUG TO A SYSTEM LIKE THIS DON'T INCREASE THE FUSE RATING, DONT TAP INTO THE LIGHTS FOR A TRAILER PLUG, AND DONT USE HIGH OUTPUT BULBS., THESE VEHICLES OFFER SEPERATE HARNESSES AND CIRCUITS FOR THESE PURPOSES.,I WISH THE TRAILER AND BODY COMPANY KNEW THIS.#!*
