I have a 2002 F150 with about 83000 miles. It has been a good truck.
It began having an extended cranking problem so took it to the Ford garage.

They replaced:
fuel pump
fuel filter
spark plugs and wires

After I drive to work, it sits in the parking lot all day. When I attempt to start and head for home it still cranks 8 to 10 time sometimes more.

The garage has run all sorts of diags and has basically given up. "They dont know what to tell me" is the answer.

What would cause the extended cranking? Please help.

Check fuel pressure at the fuel rail, before and during cranking. Use a pressure gauge. Some parts stores will loan them out.
