Any ideas? Where is the controlls hardware that makes it run? Parts of the system, etc. Is there any parts that usually go bad in this system to look for? Thanks!

Have you checked fuses #5, and 13? Check the brake pedal switch too.

My CC will engage and then pop right off. I had the stearing column replaced due to a break-in. It worked for a while and then di the disengage

Do the CC diagnostic but do not start the motor..
Hold the 'Off' switch pressed first to enter the diagnostics.
Turn on ignition, watch CC light for flash.
Quickly move to the 'ON' switch, observe the light.
Quickly move to the 'Resume' switch, observe flash.
Move to the 'SET' switch, light again,
then to the ACEL switch.
The throttle will pull down for a momnet then observe the lamp again.
Count any flashes at the end, then post what you saw.
