2003 F150 (7700) Trailer wiring?

Can someone help. I cannot get the correct harness to plug my boat trailer into. I found a connector under the drivers side rear but nothing seems to fit. Someone told me that there is another connector that would give me a 7 & 4 plug outlet. I need advice on where to look for it. Thank you Dennis

Re: 2003 F150 (7700) Trailer wiring?

Hi, First time I ever saw this connector. Is this the one I need? I am looking for a connector that I can plug into the existing wiring on the truck that will give me the connection I need to plug in my trailer. I have a 4 pin connector on the trailer but have no connection to plug into the truck. I have seen connectors with a 7 & 4 pin connection. What part do I need and where does it plug in? Dennis

OK, I see what you are saying. I was thinking you had a 7 round and wanted to adapt to a 4 flat. What you need is the wiring harness that connects into the factory wiring?

You should be able to find this at your local auto parts store also.

Thanks again,
I bought that connector but it does not fit when I disconnect the plugs under the rear drivers side bumper. Is there a connection anywhere else?
