I just had the high pressure oil pump replaced on this truck because it died on me. My mechanic then calls me and asks if I have ever had tranny issues, which I haven't. Turns out, now my truck runs great, but the transmission has a mind of it's own. Cold start it, and it works great until it warms up. It then shifts down into 2nd or 3rd gear and there it stays. The tow/haul light flashes, and it idles at high rpms. Shut it off and it doesn't start back. Anybody ever heard of anything like this?? Throws tranny codes 0706, and 0707.:angry::angry::angry::angry::angry:
Those codes are for the range sensor. There could be a wiring problem or the sensor itself. Try unplugging it adn cleaning the connection. There could be water intrusion. When you have it disconnected, use di-electric grease on the pnis and see if that helps.
Ok thanks, I'll replace that sensor, hopefully it will work. Getting kind of tired of spending money on this truck...
