I just had the high pressure oil pump replaced on this truck because it died on me. My mechanic then calls me and asks if I have ever had tranny issues, which I haven't. Turns out, now my truck runs great, but the transmission has a mind of it's own. Cold start it, and it works great until it warms up. It then shifts down into 2nd or 3rd gear and there it stays. The tow/haul light flashes, and it idles at high rpms. Shut it off and it doesn't start back. Anybody ever heard of anything like this?? Throws tranny codes 0706, and 0707.
Those codes are for the range sensor. There could be a wiring problem or the sensor itself. Try unplugging it adn cleaning the connection. There could be water intrusion. When you have it disconnected, use di-electric grease on the pnis and see if that helps.
