2004 F-150 Lariat 4x4 Transmission and Differential fluids

I have 87000 miles on this truck and thinking of changing the fluids.
Manual recommends 75w-90 for the rear axle differential. Is Mobil 1 LS ok?
I have seen some posts that people recommend 75w-140, any ideas why?
Do I need to get the cover gasket in addition to the Permatex black gasket maker?
The tag on the cover is L73 9 75 3J29 V953F.

Somehow I do not have the ID sticker that is suppose to be at the door latch pillar. I bought it new and it has only been serviced at the dealer I bought it from and I could have sworn it was there before. Is there a way to get a new ID sticker?

Since, there is no ID sticker, I am not sure what transmission I have. Manual mentions 4R70/75 E-W. There is a sticker on the transmission itself 3L3P 7000. What transmission do I have? Do I just use the Motorcraft Mercon V or is there an other brand I should use, I am not sure Motorcraft is synthetic.
Thanks in advance!

Mercon V is synthetic and that's what it calls for in either trans. You can use either diff fluid but make sure to use the friction modifier additive. You don't need to put a gasket on if you don't want to. Ford just uses the silicone. Ford also doesn't recommend changing the differential fluid until 150,000 miles.
