can some body tell me what a 42 code means when flashed ? repair help ?

i had the same problem. code 4-2 indicates a fault w/primary crash sensor. i removed mine and one of the two pins in the sensor pulled out w/the connector. $40 at the dealership. always disconnect neg battery term and wait 2 minutes before messing with airbag components. part is easy to see and easier to remove 2 minutes tops.

Mine just started doing it the other day. Have not had a chance to check it. $40 bucks is a cheap fix. I'm in Canada and ill probably pay twice that.
