2004 f150 fX4 63k - Truck has been in reliable mechanics shop for 2 weeks. Cannot pinpoint problem. Aftermarket Air Aid cold air intake and Magnaflow dual exhaust. Hotter it gets the more often I can get it to make a horrendous growling noise sometimes from dead stop and also cruising 60-65 mph by feathering gas pedal. Vibration can be felt in gas pedal when noise occurs and is very intermittent. Shop says its definately towards the front, driveline appears to check okay. Noise steadily getting worse and really became apparent after installing cold air intake. Help!!

All air intakes will be loud and have a 'sucking air sound'. My only guess if if they kit wasn't installed correctly, or parts weren't tightened down. If the noise was already there before the air intake, I'm sure the intake isn't the problem.

How long has it been since the plugs were changed out? My guess is that it might be an engine misfire but it's not to the point where it would turn on a check engine light.
