2004 F350 locking hubs

Hello, everyone
I just bought a 2004 Ford f350 king ranch and had a question about the locking hubs. I looked in the manual and it said that the hubs have two positions: auto and locked. I noticed that each hub lock is facing a different direction and neither one is labeled anywhere on the hub which position is lock and which is auto so I was wondering what direction should each one be facing? (Pic #1 is driver's side hub and pic #2 is passenger side hub)

Thanks in advance,
Ford_Fan1

Re: 2004 F350 locking hubs

My truck's a bit older, but clockwise rotation locks my hubs, counter clockwise frees them... righty tighty, lefty loosey.

I owned an '04 excursion. My hubs were clearly marked, but just confirming that Cat is right.
