My F150 Crew Cab A.C. is not very cold. It has never been very cold. I had it to our local Ford dealer when it was still in warranty. They said it is with-in specs.
I read an old thread about this issue and am hoping there may be some new information.
The system has the correct amount of 134A ( verified by A.C. specialist) the inside cab temp won't cool below 82F when it is 95 - 102 outside.
I like the truck except for this. I believe the cold/warm air plenum door may not be functuning correctly but I don't have any way to verify this.
Oh, my wife's 04' Suburban's A.C. will freeze you within 5 minutes even if the rear unit is off. She won't ride in my truck on a hot South Florida day because the F150 just won't get cool. So I am not crazy despite what the Ford dealer would like me to believe!
Can anyone share a similar experience, and if so what can be done to correct this?

I guess I'm the only one in the whole U.S.A. with poor A.C. in this truck huh?

My 06 F150 Supercrew is doing the same thing. I took it to the dealer three times and talked with the service manager. He told me that the program in the computer is written so when the engine drops to 70% power it shuts down the compressor to add power back to the motor. I've looked for power programmer to correct this problem and even spoke with the guys at diablo to see if they had a solution. To no avail, Hotter than Hell in TX.

I had a '97 Explorer, and now have an '06 F250 SD Diesel.... both have pretty feeble A/C.... both went back to the dealer when they were new and got the same response; "It's within specs."

My last 2 GM vehicles, an AWD Astro Van and a 3/4 ton 4WD Pickup, had an air conditioner so strong you could use the vehicles for a meat locker. It's just a different design philosophy, I guess.
