2006 F 250 Just shuts off - Ford Forums

Hi , New to this site ! I have a 2006 F 250 5.4 L , And for some unknown reason the motor will just shut off . Its did about a yr after I bought the truck new and just did it again today, Seems to want to do it when I'm going up hill ?

hi im new 2 does it seem to be due to loss of fuel or do you have any more details

Do you get any engine codes (engine/dash light on)?

check all your terminal connections if 1 is loose and swings away from where it is connected when U go uphill it may be the cause also check for dirty ground connections I find that that is just about the #1 cause for electrical failure.

i have the same problem in my F150, i just has the motor and tranny mounts replaced and a new fan clutch put in and whenever i hit a bump my truck shuts off!
