Not that I am promoting speeding on our highways and bi-ways, but what is the deal with the top speed of only 80 miles an hour?

Is that the "norm"? Is it only the f-150 that does that, or did all the Fords get switched to that little gem?

I believe al cars have some type now. We have some 2003 Tahoes and they are limited to 85. The deputys don't like that.

Yes. The Tahoe's even show "OVERSPEED" in the ODO panel on the dash now when you go over 80mph! Obviously they forgot about Texas.

However, a good aftermarket performance programmer can in most cases get rid of the top speed limitation.
