I just bought a new truck, which the dealer assured me would be towable behind my motorhome. They installed a Remco rear drive line disconnect and tell me that it should be towed in 2hi with the tranny in park. I am concerned that the vacumn assist front hubs will lock in while engine not running, causing bad things for the transfer case. Both Remco and the Ford dealer say that will not happen. Any body know which is so. I never use the four wheel drive, but would like not to disconnect it.

I'd trust Remco and Ford on that. Both know the vehicles. If you're concerned, have them put it in writing.

the only way those hubs will lock in is if vaccum is applied so nuthing to worry about on the fronts
