Depends on a lot of factors. Namely the transmission (over drive or not) and the axle ratio. 3000lb camper or trailer for that matter won't net you much above 10mpg on a good day anyway. Speed is also a factor on the highway however city driving takes a greater toll.
Other than a tune up, check tire pressure there's not much else you can do to improve mileage. It's a truck.
