What oil/filters do you all recommend for an '06 6.0L?

We run Motorcraft filters and Rotella in our 05

Purolator makes some of the better filters out there. But it ultimately comes down to your personal opinion, or perhaps what's on sale when you need to buy.

Everyone on here has different opinions on oil. Shell makes good fuel, but for oil I stick with synthetic (gas engines), either Amsoil or Mobil1, the two best in the industry. For diesel, there are still a vast amount of options from Castrol, Shell, Mobil, Quaker State, Valvoline, Amsoil (synthetic only) plus another dozen or so major brands.


For pre 2007 emissions you can run synthetics for longer drain intervals as well but expect to pay 20-40% more over standard oil.
