confused 6.9 or 7.3?

i have a 92 f250 non turbo diesel. I decoded the vin to the truck and it says its a 7.3 in the truck. Someone else keeps saying is not a 7.3 cause it dont have a turbo.
He says if it doesnt have a turbo its a 6.9. Is it a 7.3?

Re: 6.9 or 7.3?

7.3 was made without turbo. It could be an IDI 7.3. It's before the power strike era. That is in the correct year range also. Is there an emissions sticker under hood?

I had one of those. It is a naturally aspirated 7.3. I bought it new and also added a Banks turbo because it didn't have any power when pulling my camper in high elevation areas.
