7.3L C6 tranny rear main seal
It takes a lot for me to ask for help... bought the 87 F350 with a 6.9 that had a cracked crankshaft. Replaced with known good 7.3L. Replaced the rear main seal prior to installing the motor (force of habit). Seal is leaking after about 500 miles. Leaking bad. Makes he think something else might be wrong. Something that would have caused the original motor's crankshaft to crack. Looking for suggestions....flexplate warped? Transmission shaft bent? Need to install sleve around crankshaft? I'd hate to re-install another seal and only have the same thing happed again.
