7.3L Turbo Deisel Fuel pump

I have a 1995 7.3 Turbo Deisel.I need to replace fuel pump.Noticed fuel blowby.It will not start.Does the Turbo need to be removed if so any spacial tools needed?Where dose the turbo need to be unbolted for removal.IE Four bolt flange behind turbo or two bolt flang between firewall?There is one 10mm painin the ass bolt under the left side under the gate valve any suggestions?Thanks.

You do not have to remove the turbo. On the fuelpump there is a 1 1/4 bolt that needs to be removed(located on the back of the fuel pump toards the firewall). Use a wrench to get it loosened then unswrew it with your fingers. It is a very tight spot but it can be done. Did one 2 weeks ago, once you get that bolt out its a piece of cake. Getting the bolt back in takes alittle bit of patience though.
