I have a 78 f250 and the thing keeps starting even with the key off and out of the switch. I've replaced the starter solenoid and the wires going to the starter and from the battery to the solenoid and still keeps cranking
Mine did the same thing. Mine was the tumbler where the key is in the ignition. The entire unit turned when you turned the key, then when you go to remove it, it sticks.I replaced the whole thing.
