confused 84 F250 2wd 460 with 4-spd transmission

Can anyone tell me where the field wire from the alternator connects to?

The wire is white with a black stripe. It ran from the alternator to the top of the engine and dead ended there.

Any help or suggestions are welcome.

Thanks!

Thanks for the welcome and diagram.

I've searched for hours on the net to no avail.

I don't know where you found it; but man that was a quick answer!

Thanks a lot for the info!
