85 F250 stalls when shifted into gear
Hi, I have a 1985 Ford F250 extended cab, 460 carb motor, auto trans, 4X4, with approx. 85,000 miles on it. It starts ok, and seems to idle ok, but when I shift it out of park it wants to stall. Also, when I am driving it and come to a stop it wants to stall. Sometimes when under a load, like pulling a camper up a hill it starts to studder like it wants to stall. When it does this it will backfire. It also does not seem to have the power it should. I don't know much about carbs. Is this a carb issue, vacuum issue or what do you think. I can really use some help here.
