89 Ford F250 Error Code

I have an 89 Ford F250 4X4 5.0 Liter. It recently broke down. Started it and it started chugging like it was running out of gas. Shut it off and restarted, chugged a bit and died and now I can't get it started at all. It has gas in it. Following in the Hawes book a bit. I grounded out the Test port for the fuel pump to run countinously and it does. I do not hear it starting or am not catching it start normally for the brief moment it is suppose to kick on to pressurize the system just by turning on the key. Checking the Error codes. I am getting errors 18, 32, 53, and 95. Error 18 is related to the spout/IDM. Not to sure about what that does. 32 is about the EVP. Not clear on that either. 53 is related to the throttle position sensor, which I checked and seems ok. 95 is the one I'm concentrating on. It is telling me I have a fuel pump circuit failure - PCM to GRD. What is the usual cause for this error? I'm thinking it's either the Fuel Pump Relay which would be an easy replacement or the PCM, the computer, which is a little more costly and time consuming. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

There should be two relays right next to each other that are the same. Swap them out to rule out the fuel pump relay.

There is one other relay on that bank and it is the ECC power relay. I may still have a problem if I swap them out, won't I?

Re: 89 Ford F250 Error Code

Gonna finish out this thread in case anyone else has the same problems as I did, maybe it'll help. Not for sure if the error codes related in any way, but I replaced the Fuel Pump relay and it did nothing to fix the problem. Checked to see if I had any spark on my plugs and nothing. Pulled the distributor, marking the rotors position to help for re-installation, and then I replaced the Electrical pack, rotor, and module. Reinstalled it and the truck fired right up. Not sure if the PCM - GRD is some how related to the distributor but those were the errors I was recieving...If anyone knows how the errors I recieved related to the problem I had please explain so I know for future testing.. Thanks
