confused '90 F-150 dual tank problems

Truck was running fine, next day wouldn't start. Didn't hear pump on rear tank (only working tank). Have replaced the relay, in tank fuel pump, and dshbrd selector switch(the problem). Since doing all this fuel now goes into the front tank but still can't draw from the tank and the guage for the rear tank no longer works. Any help is appreciated!!!!

Question Re: '90 F-150 dual tank problems

Update-dropped both tanks, replaced fuel pump in front tank it now works. Fuel is still going from rear to front without being directed. Rear tank guage still not registering. Can't pump gas into front tank. Have heard it might be a check valve that was part of a recall. Where is this valve located? What does it look like?

Not trying to be smart, but did you check the fuses? I was stuck one morning on the side of the freeway, ran out of gas, switched to full tank, but nothing happened. Turned out to just be a fuse.

Re: '90 F-150 dual tank problems

I was backing my boat into my driveway yesterday when my 91 F250 (5.8) quit and will not start, won't fire at all. I had to push the truck to the curb and there it sets. I'm curious what you find out....
