well i got my old truck started up the other day took it for a ride things went great i parked it and went on about things anyway a few days later i decide i will drive my truck to work Nope guess again so i figure dead battery so i charged it for about 6 or 7 hours tried that and it tried to start just couldn't make it so now i figure battery is old i will get a new one and did and now things are worse than before makes no noise no ign beeps no radio and no lights i still have old battery and tried both of them so before we get to far i am wondering what kind of things could cause this?? could it be the starter solenoid

Could be poor connections. Both positive and grounds.
