cool 91 F250 Lariat Steering

I am thinking of buying a 1991 F 250 Lariat extended cab 4X4 with a 460 and 195,000 km.
The steering seems really sloppy. The wheel turns a couple of inches before the tires start to turn. Is there much to getting this fixed ?.

Thanks,

Re: 91 F250 Lariat Steering

I just did a complete re-build of the steering on an 93 F 250--both drag links, both tie rods and one set of spindle bearings, parts I believe were about $300 + about 5 hours of my labor--its not hard but you need a few spicial tools and then have a wheel alignment when thru--cost at a shop would run $650 + I believe--Bob
