92 F150 Oil in Air cleaner - Ford Forums - Mustang Forum, Ford Trucks, Ford Focus and Ford Cars

My old 92 F150 has 305,000miles on the original motor. It uses no oil between changes. Today I went on a 50 mile trip at 70mph. Coming off the interstate it lost all oil pressure and died. After checking it was out of oil and ther was oil all over the side of my truck. The valve cover tube that goes to the air cleaner has been broke for years. Oil is now blowing out of this tube. is there anything besides a bad valve or lifter that can allow this to happen. Also FYI it started missing on 2 cylinders at this same time.

That's usually a sign of a blown piston. Doing a leakdown test will confirm where the loss is.

As Bert suggests , probably done in a piston . But if two cyls . missing , possibly head gasket blown between them ?

Being it lost all oil pressure and oil all over the side of the truck, did it throw a rod?
