thanks for the help in my first post, I can't find my first post but thanks anyway.
After I paid 700 for replacing the manifold gasket and this other guy in the same shop changed the tires, my truck now has the brake and rear abs lights ON in the panel, I took the truck back and I told them that wasn't like that, and of course bla bla bla, and they want to charge me to fix it, so of course I wont take the truck there anymore,
Anyone can give me an idea if this is simple to fix or I just need to take the truck somewhere else? The truck is running okay but I don't want to see those lights on all the time

Is the brake fluid level up? The float sometimes sticks. If it's at the max reading tap the reservoir and see if it fixes it. Also check that the park brake is completely released.

Curious if old, filthy fluid could be the cause to that? If that's in fact the problem of course...

What I've seen on those older systems, the float sticks at the bottom when the fluid gets low. We've done it bleeding the brakes and had to tap the reservoir to let it up. It's as if there's a magnet there.

Gotcha.

If I got billed $700 over a sticking valve that they didn't even know about I'd be taking it back to collect my money, or phone the credit card about it.
