Key requires a certain position in order for automatic shifter to come out of park. Shifter will not come out of park if the truck is running. Igntion feels as if its binding. We tried spare set of keys and it fixed the issue, but it happened again. What the hell is going on?
Dont know if this from another forum applies to your year , even though it includes ABS light blinking.
Ford F150 - ABS light blinking...won't shift out of park .
"So it won't shift out of park when it's running? I think there is some kind of switch that disengages when you step on the brake pedal so you can shiftt out of park. The fuse for that is the same one for the brake lights.
I didn't think your suggestion was correct because I had read other posts on this topic by others, and I thought my brake lights were working...(but they weren't). They spoke of the problem being fuses 6 or 15. I checked those and pretty much all others. There was one I missed when I went back & checked though...13 (it was kinda hidden by a large fuse in a metal housing). That was it! "
