jkennedy Registered User Join Date: Nov 2006 Posts: 3	97 F-150 Engine Swap Got a 97 F-150 with 4.6 V8. 230K miles on it and startin to use oil like crazy. Smoking. Want to keep it. Best to: 1) have someone rebuild? 2) drop in a later model engine with less miles? Looking at tight $$$. What is the latest model year that will fit? Do I need the computer to go with it, or will current computer work? JKennedy
