I have a 98 F150 XLT 4.6 and the remote used to work then one day nothing. I have been trying everything in the books: 8 times within 10 seconds, i seen where u need the door open, headlights on, and whatever else google has to offer.

The batteries are new and the remote has been tested, everythings good

The Alarm is a Code Alarm, i dont know if this is factory or aftermarket. I seen there was a button by the driver side kick panel and im pretty sure it has something to do with this system, just because i held it down to see what it would do and it disarmed the alarm..

Im all out of ideas and searching, i cant find anything on code alarm, maybe its something totally different. I just dont want to have to buy a whole new alarm right now

You'll probably have to contact the company that made it to reset things. There are several models. Do you know which one it is?
