99 v10 making clicking noise in engine, why??

redbull660 Registered User Join Date: Apr 2004 Posts: 3	99 v10 making clicking noise in engine, why?? I just bought a 1999 f250 crew cab with a v10 in it, it has 63000 miles. When it is idleing it makes a clicking noise off of the passenger side. Kind of sounds like a lifter but not as loud. I was told that this could just be injector noise. Have any of you had this happen to your v10's. any info would be great. thanks I an running 10w30 engine oil

I'd try to find out if the previous owner had got into the motor at all... If it's not a lifter it could be some valve tap...In that case they would need adjusting __________________ undefined undefined wheelin wheelin wheelin....theres nothin like it...
