Re: AC won't stop- even when truck is off
Had similar problem with my 2002 F-150. Had to replace the fuse block. My truck had a leak from the window or the firewall. The water came down the A-pillar on the inside of the truck and dripped down on the main fuse block inside the truck. When it rained, all sorts of things were going on. The blower motor would run with the ignition off, the truck tried to start itself with the key removed from the ignition and the radio would die when I turned the lights on.
I fixed the leaks and for added insurance, put some of the blue spray foam where I saw it leaking into the truck. I bought a new fuse block about $200 and replaced the old one. After getting the old one out I took it apart, or at least I tried. It was so corroded with rust and part of the plastic had melted from the heat generated by all the shorts. Once replaced all is well. Not sure if you were having other problems. Did you have heavy rain per chance when this happened? Hope this helps.
