Advise re buying..

Hi, I'm moving to Canada (Vancouver) soon and first thing will be to buy a vehicle.
Current thought is about 2007 F150 XLT 5.4l 4x4
My thinking is <100k km around $15000
Questions
Sound about right?
What problems to look for ?
Amy recurring problems with F 150?
Is there an independent vehicle inspection body in Canada ?
How does warranty on used cars work in Canada?
Real world fuel consumption ?
What is reliability expectation 200 k, 300 k ?
How to find trustable mechanic in Vancouver ?

Thanks in advance guys.

Re: Advise re buying..

The only thing I know about on the 07 is an issue with the vacuum line that controls the transfer case. With those specs, it can run between 14K and 23 K in upstate NY. As far as reliabilty, I got a whole bunch of reviews for you: 2007 Ford F-150 Consumer Reviews

Can't help much with Vancouver.

Ever notice that there's so many high performance parts available for GM products?

Did you ever think that maybe they NEED them?
