Gidday, I 'm interested in putting a AOD trans behind my 302w in my f100 [fuel economy] has any one done this? whats involved? ,do they need a ECU to run?

Your AOD should bolt right up to the 302. You will not need an ECU to run. All you will need is a lockup torque convertor and a downshift cable. I bought mine from Summit, part # LOK-KD2AODHT. It works great and is the only way to accuratly control throttle pressure. What kind of transmission do you have now? Do you have a 2 or 4 barrel carb? More info would be helpful.
