AUS: Ford Adds New Models to F-Series Line-Up

Ford Australia today announced the addition of two new models – the F250 XL Single Cab Chassis 4x4 and the F250 XL Super Cab Chassis 4x4.

Both models come equipped with the stump-pulling power of the legendary 7.3-litre turbo-diesel V8, which delivers 175 kilowatts of power at 2600 rpm and a massive 684 Newton-metres of torque at a user-friendly 1800 rpm.

Both models come complete with a cavernous interior, boasting creature comforts such as power steering, power mirrors and air-conditioning.

The XL range of F250 trucks is only available with a five-speed manual transmission.

Recommended retail pricing for the new F250 XL models starts at $64,000* for the single cab XL and $68,000* for the super cab version.

"The F-Series range has proven a winner with our customers across Australia with its mix of power, comfort, interior flexibility and rugged durability," said Ford Australia F-Series Brand Marketing Manager Steve Lowe.

"Since its 2001 launch more than 5500 F250 and F350 trucks have been sold in Australia.

"The addition of the XL range of F250 trucks will further cement the F-Series' legendary status among Australian tradesmen and primary producers," Lowe said.

* Recommended retail price excluding dealer delivery and statutory charges
