I have a 1978 F150, I bought it from the original owner. We have replaced the shoes and have kept up on the maintenance. Recently replaced the master cylinder and booster. After bleeding them with a pressure bleeder I drove it for about a month and had to start pumping them. We rebled them but it only took a day and I LOST them. We are trying to find a rebuild kit for the disc proportion valve. Can anybody help me with a place to get them or have another idea. Thanks.

When you are bleeding the brakes, start at the farthest one first, the r. rear, the left rear, the right front and finally left front. Make sure to close them each off tightly while bleeding. Make sure your brakes are adjusted properly before bleeding. And don't be afraid to put through a lot of fluid and make sure your resevoir is full and you are not introducing air into the system. I have had Fords that took a few times to bleed, they can be stubborn sometimes.

We found out it was the proportioning valve and have replaced that. Now I keep losing power so weve decided to park it and rebuild the engine as it is an original 351M and I want it to stay original. My mom was the original buyer and I'm the second owner. Thank you for responding I appreciate any help I can get.
