Converting my 460 from gas to propane

Hi,

I just want to know if it is cost effective to change my 460 gas, to propane? I'm thinking of looking at the bone yard for a kit to do this. Have any of you done this with any level of success?

Thank You

Running costs of course lpg are much cheaper , you will if just converting and not making the required mods drop around 10% power and will use a little bit more fuel but its easy to do , cheap to run and if you dont want to add hardened inserts ( is it an iron head?) then leave it as valve recession normally takes quite a while.
It has been done before , you may need to use a registered installer depending on where you live.

Hi atec77

Thank you for your input. I do have iron heads. I'm not too worried about losing 10% power, this truck has more then I'll ever need. :>

Thank you
-Ron
