ok 1st, did the 85 250 some with a LSD in the rear? or some kind of traction aid in the rear because both tires light up when i start to spin, ive had one in mud and one on dry pavement, and the only differance is that it takes off and starts spining easier. and 2nd does the 6.9L diesel have an oil pump bypass? because the oil pressure will barley come up to the o in " normal " and if i hog on it, it comes up to about the r. i had a 460 and at an idle with 230,000+ miles on it it was at the m, any way thanks guys in advance

I believe they do have an oil bypass.but check your pressure sender first. they can fail from the vibration.if thats the problem try mounting it remotely by using an oil line between the engine and sender.then mount the sender on the firewall,should stop it from failing due to vibration in the future.is your diff the ford 9" or the dana 60. some limited slips can be adjusted.
