Does anyone know what the curb weight of a 1986 F250 Diesel 4X4 Extended cab might be? As well what would the GVWR be for the same
Thanks

Re: Curb Weight

GVWR is on the door sticker. But there are too many options to guess at the curb weight - drive it over a scale. If it's a certified scale, go in & talk to the weighmaster first - let him know you don't need a ticket ($); just the number.

good places with scales and usaly don't mind, the city dump and scrap yards. most scrap yards have the scales set up to see the wieght for the truck your in. you could just drive on see the wieght and drive off.

I will have to do that, I was wanting to purchase a camper for the truck and the truck s not yet registered (licenced) and trying to stay on the side of safety did not want to purchase a camper that was to large for the truck. The GVW sticker is damaged and I can not make it out for sure but it looks like 8800LB but the actual weight of the truck is still a mystery! The camper is 1380KG or about 2900 lb with water, gas ect but again I would be using my nicely restored truck for my family and safety first!
