Door ajar light wont go off? - Ford Forums

I have a 2002 F-250 crew cab and my door ajar light wont go off. I've tried to spray them down with wd40 but didnt work. Thought about the sensors in the door but I dont know what they look like and where their at inside the doors . Any help would be very helpful.

I think you're right with the door switch. Here's a Ford manual picture of it. I've removed some without taking the latch out but it took some manuevering. Not all can be done that way and I haven't done one on that particular type of vehicle.

The factory manual says nothing about disconnecting the battery. I never disconnected the battery on any I did.
