First question
Can I swap this motor into my 2002 f-250 that HAD a v-10? and if so...How hard will this be?
Second Question
The price he gave me is $2,000. Is that too much?!?!?!
Oh by the way....Thanks ahead of time for helping me with this issue. I am new to this forum and will be looking forward to solving this problem.

E-Bay and Craigslist usually has pretty good deals on used V-10 blocks. Right now there is one on E-Bay with very low mileage for $3k OBO (item #160282131218). There is also one for $200 with an issue a good machinist could solve.
It would be more economical for you to buy a V10 block and put in primarily due to the "other cost" category above and beyond the $2k your buddy is asking for a used 5.4L. You'll need to buy different wire looms, engine mounts, trans adapter plates (if they make one), main computer, etc, etc, etc.
