I have a 1993 ford f150 4x4 351. Two tanks, and it won't start off of either tank. It just cranks with no attempt at starting. I'm thinking no fire. Where, in what order and how do you test to find out why it isn't even attempting to start.

Turn the key to the run position, without cranking it and listen for the fuel pump. You can turn it on over and over to see.

Cannot hear it on the front tank but can on the back tank. But won't start with either tank.

Turn it to the rear tank and crank it with a plug wire off and see if you get spark from the wire.
