Hello all,
Son brought home an 86 F-150 4x2 last night. Starts good runs terrible, body needs some work. Wants to fix it up a little (first vehicle) . I said sure, (good to get him interested in somthing) but I'm no mechanic. First thing is a tune up. What we need to know is what size is the motor likely to be? It's an inline six, pretty straightforward under the hood. found a sticker under the hood that has 4.9L , followed by the plug size(I'm assuming) and the plug gap( .042-.046) Is the engine a 4.9litre and what does that equate to in cubic inches? Also for intersts sake how does one convert litres to cubic inches?
Thanks for any help
