progunrunner Registered User Join Date: Feb 2005 Posts: 2	engine start up rattle 5.4 I have a 99 f150 4x4 Automatic seems to rattle when cold starting after sitting for about 8-10 hours....i have changed to a synthetic oil and still its not as bad but you can still hear it , 70,000 miles and regular oil changes has anyone else had this problem . My first thought was to change out the oil pump as its a work truck and tows a trailer alot and gets used every day . any thoughts or ideas would be great. Thanks
