engine swap help/info

hi all,
i have a 1977 ford f150 4x4 with a 3" lift
it has a straight 6 (300) in it with a manual tranny
my question is i bought a 351c for this truck since i was told it will bolt right in now everyone is telling me it cant do i need a new tranny
if any one has any info or web pages on what i need to get to make this work it would be really thankfull

if it has a c-6 tranny then it will bolt up, as will a 302, 460

i dont know what one i have it is a standard trany 4 speed with 1st gear lowbull gear
also need some help on the engine mounting do i use the 6cyl ones or do i have to buy new ones or make some up
