exhaust manifold 1978 351M

I just registered , so someone out there may be able to help me ..I am the original owner of my 1978 ford f-250 4 wheel drive truck.. 351M
I just replaced the exhaust manifold on the drivers. side. NEW... I Cant find one for the pass. side.. Bronco graveyard.com has them new, but I don't think it will fit since it's not listed for a 4- WD... No auto parts stores has them.. I replaced them already from a junkyard a while ago and they don't last.
Thanks
Hans

Re: exhaust manifold 1978 351M

As a matter a fact I have some. In a pile outside my shop cause I was going to scrap them. I'll have to gather all my manifolds and see if any are correct. Give me a few days to go through them

Thanks Bert, I called them and they gave me a part number... D7TZ9430A ... He didn't have one and suggested searching the internet.

If nothing else pans out, send this guy a pm http://www.fordforums.com/members/75111.html or you can email him from this page Steve83 | SuperMotors.net. He should have what you need.

Have a few set aside. Many are from 150s. Can you post a pic of yours and I will try and match up to be sure it's the same. Some of mine even have a butterfly in them.

Re: exhaust manifold 1978 351M

Hi R-clar,
The exhaust manifold is still in place, I have a new y-pipe that I will try to install tomorrow .. Drivers side is new and the pass side I will try to remove the flange nuts with a torch and socket .. We got some snow in Vermont and I need my truck back on the road..So I will leave the pass. side in place for now... I will take some pictures tomorrow.
Thanks
Hans

Re: exhaust manifold 1978 351M

It worked ,torch and a socket... The glowing red nuts came off nicely .. The y pipe from Autozone does not fit ,wrong configuration. I checked with my local parts store and they gave me the correct part number .. should be a two piece not one which I had replaced several times before.. WALKER MFG.. It's hard getting parts for an old truck. Still looking for an exhaust manifold for the pass. side...I posted some pictures.
Thanks
Hans
