I have a 2003v10 super duty exhaust manifold bolts some broke best and cheapest way to fix? And why is this a problem with these trucks!

We haven't had that problem with any of ours. Have you removed the manifold? Are they flush with the head surface?

i know that aggravating best way ive learned to remove bolts like that is to drill out the center if you can reach it and use an "easy out tool" may have to file the end of the bolt to get the drill to start in the center of the bolt. spray bolt with penetrating oil (marvel mystery oil, or wd40) good luck

I have had this sme problem two times on my '02 F250, 5.4. Once at 69K mi. The second at 108K mi. The first time I had the dealer fix it. The second time was Jan 2010. I fixed it myself. Ordered new manifolds from Dorman. I had the reverse drill and ez out already. Two of the broken studs came out real easy with the ez out. There was one stud broke off with about 1/2" showing. Couldn't get it out with Vice-Grips. Had to weld a nut onto the stud then it came out. Extremely inportant that the studs are put into the heads at exact torque spec. Then stud nuts must be torqued to exact spec. I have seen many vihicles with this engine with broken studs that owners did not know about. Good luck

My 4.6 CrownVic had broken studs and I had the dealer fix it. If you don't get exactly the right angle when drilling you can go right into the block and cause serious damage.
