F-150 Leaking Differential

My differential case is leaking and it's making a loud noise when I drive - sorta whining. It hasn't lost much fluid cuz I can still feel it, but it's just below the filler hole. I'm assuming that changing the oil will take care of the problem, but I don't want to do it twice. What are your suggestions?

Is there anything else I should be prepared to do? I've never worked on this part of my truck.
