Drivin' the truck yesterday and she just shut down!!!!! Pulled over re-started, and she fired right up. This happened about 5 times in a 1/2 mile span, so I turned around and was able to make it home. I am running all of the EDGE gear, so I checked the code. It was the CPS (Cam Positioning Sensor). Called my local dealership to see if they had one in stock, and guess what, MY LUCKY DAY !!!!! Factory recall on the sensor. Normally about $100.00 bucks, a 10mm bolt and 30 min. of time and your in business. Took it to the dealership and NO CHARGE.........NO WORK FOR ME.........

If you have a F250, or F350 it would be worth your wild to call the dealer and have them run your vin # to check on the recall for this sensor. If it goes out....Your dead in the water...

Did you have any problem with dealer saying wouldnt cover because of aftermarket chip, programer ect. Thanks

Is this recall on the 7.3 only? I have a 06 f250 6.0L having issues with it. Has died on me and has accellertion issues...Dealer can't mimick or fix....
