confused F-250 rear end vibration

2003 super duty with 120K, I get a vibration at 45-50 mph but not all the time I had the rear tires both checked out with no problems? Could the drive shaft be causing it? If so, why not all the time? When I say bad I mean I can see the bed shake....HELP

Change the oil lately?

Change it and use the friction modifier for LS rear ends.

Re: F-250 rear end vibration

If that dont fix it maybe your overdrive is wearing out. If thats the case you could be looking at a tranny overhaul eventually.

Re: F-250 rear end vibration

One thing that is often overlooked is the universal joint. The permanent lubed u-joints have been known to seize and this will give you a vibration at certain speeds. Only way to tell is to take them apart, as they will look ok on the truck, nice and tight.
